The material used in the production of our SP Mile High mono is incredibly strong and offers the very highest tensile strength to diameter ratio, coupled with unprecedented high abrasion resistance and durability. This line is designed for long distance casting. When using a technically good knot (we recommend the Palomar), you can use a lower diameter, which considerably increases the casting distance. Selecting the correct ratio between lead weight and line diameter gives a huge distance advantage over using a leader. Our extremely tough X-Tuff coating offers excellent abrasion resistance and protection against harmful UV light. This extends the life of the line, prevents wear and maintains the pulling power much longer. The UltraSink Compound core of the line ensures good sinking of the line, plus low stretch and high pulling power. The Deceptive Matt finish ensures that the line falls nicely against the bottom. For best results, we recommend soaking the spool in warm water for 2 hours before spooling. In addition, when spooling it is important that the line comes off the spool counterclockwise to prevent the line from twisting. You can also use a bankstick to spool the line and then the line should come from the bottom of the spool.
